Water Ripples

TCNJ Data Acqusition for Water Tunnel
2025-2026

Meet the Team

Project
Overview

The primary goal of this project is to enhance the functionality of the existing water tunnel in the thermofluids laboratory by designing and implementing a complete data acquisition platform. While the current system allows for flow visualization through particle tracing and dye injection, it lacks the ability to measure and collect quantitative data.

Our team will integrate sensors, DAQ boards, and LabVIEW interfaces to record parameters such as pressure, velocity, and force for a wide range of test setups. By the end of the project, the water tunnel will be used as a more versatile educational tool that can provide both qualitative and quantitative data for research and teaching applications.
